As you may have gathered I am passionate about Reflexology! You know when you feel you were meant to do something, well that's me and Reflexology! My head has told me to do many things, but my heart says Reflexology.
I first trained in Reflexology in 2004 and felt an instant connection. I spent many years treating family and friends and reading and learning as much as possible. I also undertook further courses and in 2012 started treating clients on a professional basis.
In 2015 my husband and I opened a shop in Cornwall Street, Plymouth primarily as a foot health clinic but also so I could offer Reflexology. I am also a foot health practitioner alongside my husband, but am now focusing on Reflexology and teaching- along with running the shop. My husband Lawrence does the majority of foot health appointments now.
As we could not find a name which covered both businesses, we decided to name it Sophie Gees after our daughter! And on the subject of our daughter - we also have some of her jewellery in the shop - so don't be surprised if you spot the odd ear or nose stud! As you can see we are very much a family business!
I also teach therapies including Reflexology and Indian Head Massage. Additionally I will also be offering workshops for those who want to use therapies on family and friends.
